More than 10,000,000 people finished a road race in the United States in 2009, according to runningusa.org.That’s up by about 3,000,000 in 1999. That’s also 6,000,000 extra worn out knees and joints along with lots of people looking for a way to work out without doing damage. And one new product might be a good solution.
The Elliptigo is a combination elliptical workout machine and bike that promises to provide a great cardio workout while letting your body recover from a run or not do any damage in the first place. Invented by some pretty serious athletes and a doctor that trains them, this workout machine is a bit spendy right now at $2,500 each, but the price promises to drop as more people start picking up this habit, and you can sometimes find one to rent at a cycle shop.
We want to hear from you! Are you ready to ride off on the Elliptigo? Or is this new idea more of an Ellipti-no?
