Click to Fit

Do you know what size you are? Though you probably have an idea, you’ve probably also realize that it kind of depends. Different brands size things differently, but this idea for the next big thing is designed to take the guess work out of trying on clothes.

Me-Ality is a company that uses a machine that kind of looks like an airport scanner (they promise no radiation!) to collect 200,000 data points to point you in the right direction for a perfectly fitting outfit. Fits Me has a created a “virtual fitting room” that lets you input your measurements, and try items on, online, to see if they work for you. Both ideas could save time and maybe money, because you won’t buy stuff you’ll never wear. But do they replace the experience of a real, live fitting room?

You tell us. Vote in the poll and weigh in on the future of shopping, then leave a comment telling us why you voted like you did.

I think this is a great idea because you can get in there and see your size and go find what you want and then boom! Your done! To me that is amazing!

No because you should already know your own size but if you dont, the stores usually have something to measure you like a plastic ruler or something but they shouldn’t have this.

So you know your size. Whoopee! Not everyone has the same body structure. I can never find perfect pants, I’m tall and extremly skinny. Some people are the same size as me, but have bigger legs. I think this machine would be really helpful, especially to me.

I think it s the next big thing because girls like me don’t like changing in and out, especially when we are in dresses or something hard to get out of.

yes because the people would love how they fit after they tried it:) and they want to know how they fit and not try things on!

Yes!!!!! Wouldn’t be awesome to have a machine tell you what size you are instead of taking forever on doing yourself!!!!! I know I would!!!

I think it is both a good and bad idea. It would be good for people who can never find “The perfect fit.” It would also be a bad because people will start to become more lazy, and could be a higher possiblity for obesity.

No because it is just a waste of money because some people probably will not use them. Either way, you still have to try the pants on to if the style you want will fit you or even the size.

I think no because everybody might want to guess if they didn’t want to guess they should know their size.

No because most of us should already know our size and that just wastes time you could just use the fitting room but if not the NBT could help lots of people

Just because you have the correct measurements doesn’t mean it will fit and look good on you. And I have to see it on me not some virtual me.

i think it is the NBT beacuse when im trying on clothes at a mall i can see how it will fit instead of trying it on in this room :)

This is how the government takeover begins. They put us in these electronic rooms so they can teleport us to space in order to control population. This is fact you guys. OPEN YOUR EYES.

These machines will be expensive and more like a novelty than anything else. It would be hard for a store to afford one, let alone two. So the waiting lines would be expensive.

But this is a good idea because it’s hard to find pants that can compensate for a guy with no legs past his knees.

I love the idea because I wouldn’t have to go through the time of searching through jeans or shirts! im gonna get this and go straight to Hollister!

No it seems ridiculous to be scanned by a computer to figure out what size or if it fits or not for clothes. It may be helpful but the government and stores should not tbe putting their money into this technology instead into inventory or funding.

I is a good thing, because sometimes you may grow, and you don’t know it, so you’ll spend hours at the store that you don’t really need to.

We think it’s the next big thing because we think it’ll help us find the exact fit for our jeans!

I’m like a size 3 or 4 in womens and every time i go to a store their is nothing in my size and i think this is the next big thing. :)

yes i think it is the next big thing considering how long it takes to find what size i really am and where it is. but i think the whole thing on the online fitter or what ever is the dumbest idea. i mean who knows they could just be buttering you up so you by more. plus stores don’t like having to return items because they have to give the money back. for some items you could be spending two hundred bucks and than if you don’t like it or it doesn’t fit, so when you go back to get one that fits it could be only fifty bucks so the store is losing the two hundred but only getting back fifty, or they go to another store and they don’t even get any of the money.

Yes, I think it is the next big thing because who wouldn’t want to avoid haste of traveling to stores to try on clothes when they could do it in the convenience of their own home.

  21. Riley Spatz

No, it might malfunction and give you something that’s a couple sizes too small, and like you said, it can’t help you with style. I can find clothes that fit me on my own. I don’t need a machine to help me.

This is a great idea because people don’t have to worry about waiting for a changing room they can just quickly get scanned and go.

I don’t think it is the next big thing because it is possible that the machine will give the wrong information to people.

no, this should not be the next big thing because machines are creepy and who would want to be sized by a machine thats just weird

It’s annoying when you buy clothes, try them on at home, find out they don’t fit, and have to go back to the store to return them and buy new ones. I think it’s a great idea, but I also agree with the others about how it might make us become more lazy and maybe even increase obesity.

I would say yes because it can be really irritating trying to find jeans that fit you most of the time. With this machine you will find the right pair of jeans quick and easy ;)

Of course this is a good idea it’s hard to find clothes that fit just right. so having this would be AMAZING

I think it is a good idea but also a bad idea. I think it is a good idea because you don’t have to waste all your time in the store trying to find the perfect for jeans. I think it is a bad idea because it makes people more lazy and could increase the possibility for more obesity people. AND PLUS HAVING A MACHINE SCANNING YOU FREAKY!!!¡¡!!!!¡¡¡¡’!!!!!!!!!¡¡¡!!!!!¡¡¡¡!!!!!!¿

Seriously guys!! Who would want their body being scanned!!!!!! CREEPY!!!!!!! I mean I would rather waste my time than get scanned and plus it brings the fun out of shopping!! Shopping is a fabulous thing that was created why let a machine take you out of a store quicker than you would usually be… And if you don’t like staying in stores then yeah it may be a good thing for you but not for me and btw: it can increase your weight if your trying to lose it……

I would like to give it a try because it just may work for me. Although I do not want to pay for this fitting. Maybe Santa or somebody would get my size right.

NO I do not think that fit scanning the next big thing because I think that people could be offended and people could also be embarrassed and think the wrong thing.

Also it might malfunction and people would pay for something that they didn’t want, what is next a machine that tells you what video game to play, come on technology was supposed to be a good thing

  33. Laura

I think it’s great, because clothes range in so many different sizes and fit is not always the same, and you won’t have to waste time finding the perfect fit all you have to do is scan.

  34. Yankees_fan

This is a bad idea because the machine might malfunction, it costs too much money to have these In all stores, and people might become lazy and get obese.

i think it’s a good idea except if it uses radiation because we don’t need radiation in our bodys for jeans when we should only have radiation in our bodys for x-rays and stuff.
