Footloose

feature-cover-footloose.jpg

The original Footloose movie soundtrack was an instant classic when it came out in 1984. There’s no reason this soundtrack, re-imagined for 2011, shouldn’t do the same. Classics from theĀ ’80s like “Footloose,” this time by Blake Shelton, “Let’s Hear it for the Boy,” performed by Jana Kramer and a jazzy version of “Holding Out for a Hero” by Ella Mae Bowen are the highlights of the album and you can hear all three tracks below.

The film, a retelling of a story that has been told many, many times before, is about the clash between the youth and elders in a small, conservative community that gets shaken up when a city kid comes to town.

The music will help you understand how he does it.
