White Narcissus

Related to the daffodil, the paper-white narcissus is native to the Mediterranean. Traditionally, they are given around the holidays as gifts, which is why people born in December tend to be sweet, formal and confident.

According to Greek mythology, the god Narcissus who died of starvation and vanity from looking at his own reflection in a stream was turned into the narcissus flower so he could stay by the stream forever.
