If the girl of your dreams seems out of reach, put yourself in Scott Pilgrim's shoes -- or better yet -- check out the new movie. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (PG-13), is a film about a guy who falls for the roller blading girl of his dreams, but before Scott (Michael Cera) can date delivery girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), he must defeat her seven evil exes.Sound familiar? The movie is based on the Oni Press graphic novel Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, written by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The film is directed by Edgar White, but don't let the fact that you've read the graphic novel stop you! Even the online trailer is awesome with interactive movie features and gaming capabilities. We're pumped to find out what cool things the movie will have in store.
Promised to be filled with laughs, quirky comic book moves and some epic battles against the bad guys, we're thinking Scott, his rock band and quest for love, will do more than fulfill your need for a night of comedy -- it's also a great excuse to ask the girl or boy of your dreams out to a Friday night flick.
Here's hoping everyone can roller blade (or walk, whatever!) with their crushes into the sunset. Until then, check out our fun quizzes about the star of the film, Michael Cera, and see how much you know about the original comic book!
How much do you know about the comic character that's now a feature length film?
See if you're a Cera savant and test your knowledge of this popular teen star.
