If you drive, you know that the most challenging time behind the wheel is at night. In some states, you’re not even allowed to drive at night if you’re under a certain age.
But a Dutch company has come up with a roadway innovation that might change all that. “Smart highways” include glow-in-the-dark pavement and weather indicators that light up depending on weather conditions. The lights power up with solar energy during the day, and they have about 10 hours of illumination in them. What’s more, some of the roadways may even be able to charge up electric cars.
What do you think? Is this idea going to change your life on the highway? Or will all the lights prove to be a distraction? Vote in the poll and tell us what you think!
