How the Dow Jones industrial average did Wednesday

The Dow Jones industrial average and the Standard & Poor’s 500 index were little changed after the publications of minutes from the Federal Reserve’s June meeting revealed little new information about the direction of the central bank’s stimulus program.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 8.68 points, or 0.06 percent, to 15,291.66.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 rose 0.30 points, or 0.02 percent, to 1,652.62.

The Nasdaq composite index rose 16.50 points, or 0.5 percent, to 3,520.76.

For the week:

The Dow Jones industrial average is up 155.82 points, or 1 percent.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 is up 20.73 points, or 1.3 percent.

The Nasdaq composite index is up 41.38 points, or 1.2 percent.

For the year:

The Dow is up 2,187.52 points, or 16.7 percent.

The S&P 500 is up 226.43 points, or 15.9 percent.

The Nasdaq composite is up 501.25 points, or 16.6 percent.
