The Dow Jones industrial average got a lift from Microsoft on Friday after the company’s CEO said he would retire. Microsoft’s stock surged, accounting for more than a third of the Dow’s gain.
The Dow rose 46.77 points, or 0.3 percent, to 15,010.51.
The S&P 500 gained 6.54 points, or 0.4 percent, to 1,663.50.
The Nasdaq composite climbed 19.09 points, or 0.5 percent, to 3,657.79

The S&P is up 7.67 points, or 0.5 percent.
The Nasdaq is up 55.01 points, or 1.5 percent.

The Dow is up 1,906.37 points, or 14.6 percent.
