NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. MANY WILL ENTER, FEW WILL WIN. CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD BEGINS FEBRUARY 9, 2009 AT 12:00 A.M. EASTERN TIME AND ENDS MARCH 6, 2009 AT 11:59 A.M. EASTERN TIME.
ALL ENTRANTS SHOULD GET THE PERMISSION OF THEIR PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS TO ENTER THIS CONTEST. READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY AND HAVE YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN EXPLAIN THEM TO YOU. THERE ARE SPECIAL RULES REGARDING GETTING PERMISSION TO USE PEOPLE AND CONTENT IN ANY VIDEO SUBMISSION AND AGREEING TO BE FILMED AND INTERVIEWED IF YOU ARE AWARDED THE GRAND PRIZE.
Sponsor: Abbott Laboratories ("Sponsor") is the sponsor and Channel One Network ("Administrator") is the administrator of the Contest and is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of entries or the overall administration of the Contest. The Sponsor is responsible for judging the entries for determination of the Prize winners. Channel One Network is responsible for the fulfillment of the Contest prizes. Entrants should contact Administrator at 151 West 26th Street New York, NY 10001 ("Contest Address") with any questions, comments or problems related to the Contest.
- How To Enter: You may enter the contest only by visiting www.ChanneloOne.com and submitting the required video. To enter the Contest and upload a video, entrant must first be a registered member of ChannelOne.com. There is no charge to become a member of ChannelOne.com and you may register at the time you are prepared to upload the video. Through on-screen instructions you will be asked to provide information during the registration process including your name, address, email address, and age confirmation.
Preparing Your Entry: Submit a video showing why the work people do in clinical labs is so important and interesting. Encourage other teens to be interested in the field and consider some of the many career opportunities it offers. The video must be not more than two (2) minutes in length, must be in one of the following digital file formats: wmv, mov, avi, mpg, or mpeg4, be no larger than 100 MB and be able to be capable of being displayed on the internet. Entrants should try to present the technically best video possible, but the technical quality of the video will not be considered by the judges.
VERY IMPORTANT! READ CAREFULLY. Limitations and Restrictions:
The videos (a) must be recorded and edited by the entrant with very limited parental or faculty assistance, in the sole opinion of the Contest judges, (b) may not contain music or content not created by the entrant unless permission of the owner is given in writing and (c) in the case of videos, must be able to pass necessary legal review. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the display of the Contest entry (that is video, the entrant's name, likeness and biographical information), in whole or in part, in any and all media, including on the internet, throughout the world and with no time limit.
As a condition of eligibility and to be determined a semi-finalist, video entries must be able to be approved by Administrator's programming transmitter for display on the website and for programming transmission. This would require, among other things, securing all necessary permissions and clearances required prior to display or transmission. Entrants are required to secure all permissions and consents for the content of videos and other portions of the entries. Administrator and Administrator's programming transmitter reserve the right to edit, alter, make deletions and otherwise change a video submission to satisfy any and all legal and Contest requirements. If a video or balance of the entry is not able to be displayed for any reason, then the entry will be disqualified.
Entrants can only submit one video for consideration. Additional entries will be disregarded. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

Eligibility: This Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are (a) currently enrolled during the 2008-2009 school year in Middle School or High School and (b) are 13 to 18 years of age as of February 9, 2009. Void in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and where prohibited by law. Employees (and such employees' immediate family or household members) of Sponsor, and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, prize suppliers, printers, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

Privacy: By entering the Contest, you agree to Administrator's use of your personal information as described in its Privacy Policy at www.channelone.com.
- Winner Selection: All eligible entries will be judged based on the following judging criteria: 33% Creativity, 33% Originality, and 33% Adherence to the theme. Judging will be conducted by judges whose decisions are final and may not be appealed.

Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize- Grand Prize winner will receive a check for $2,500.00 and the winning video will be edited into roughly a :30 spot to air on Channel One News.
Two (2) Runner-Ups ? Runner-Up winners will each receive a check for $1,000.00

General Conditions: Sponsor reserve the right to substitute the prize, or portion of the prize for another prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The Contest is not to be used in connection with any form of gambling. Prize will only be awarded and/or delivered to addresses within the United States. All taxes, fees, and surcharges are the sole responsibility of the Winners. Failure to comply with the Official Rules in all respects will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize, if awarded. If the Contest prize is forfeited, the prize will be awarded to the entrant with the next best entry as determined by the judges in their sole discretion utilizing the judging criteria of the Contest. Except where prohibited by law, each winner (or each winner's parent or guardian, if the winner is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence) grants (and agrees to confirm that grant in writing) permission for Sponsor and Administrator, their advertising and promotional agencies, and those acting under its authority to use such winner's name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, product branding and/or publicity purposes in all media and product now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the world wide web, without notice, review, approval, or additional compensation in connection with Sponsor's exploitation of the winning entry. Sponsor and Administrator shall have the right to request or secure any and all additional documentation required to perfect the foregoing and to permit the utilization of the Contest entries as contemplated by these Official Rules. Entrants further agree that Sponsor, Administrator and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, printers, distributors, and respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents or each and any other person or entity related in any way to the Contest (together the "Contest Entities") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by parents and legal guardians, against, any and all liability for injuries, loss or damage of any kind to persons, including death, or property damage resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize, participation in this promotion, or while traveling to, preparing for or participating in any prize-related activity. The Contest Entities expressly disclaim any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property in connection with the development or preparation of entries or the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prizes awarded. Sponsor and Administrator make no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. Sponsor and Administrator will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant, Sponsor and Administrator in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New York, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York. In addition, any dispute relating to the Contest (including these Official Rules) shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in the City and County of New York. Entrants hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.

Conduct: By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at the Contest Site throughout the Contest. Entrant's and their parents or legal guardians further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual, and the related Group, if applicable, it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operations to any of the Contest or any website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF ANY OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of Liability: Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. Sponsor and Administrator assume no responsibility for any misdirected or lost mail, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating downloading materials in the Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor and Administrator which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, then Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.

Winner's List: To obtain a mailed copy of the name of the winners by mail or a copy of the Official Rules by mail, send the applicable request and a self-addressed stamped (Vermont residents may omit postage to receive the names of winners), #10 envelope to Channel One at the Contest Address. Request must be received no later than September 1, 2009 for the names of the winners and by the end of the promotion for a copy of the rules.
