Let’s Go Fly a Kite

This winter, about the only to survive was to make the most of the multiple opportunities for winter sports. But at a certain point, even the most avid skier or snowboarder probably started looking for a little novelty. That’s where this idea for the next big thing comes in.

Snowkiting combines a big kite with your skis or snowboard for a new kind of experience on the snow — one that can move you at speeds up to 60 MPH. Invented in Europe in the ’70s, the sport has really caught on in Minnesota where they’re having the worst winter in 30s years…but it’s not so bad if snowkiting is your bag.

Are you ready to chase the chill with a snowkite on ice? Vote in the poll and tell us what you think!

If it took 40 years to get the trend to Minnesota, then how long will it take for it to become The Big Thing?

It would be super cool! Snowkiting would help kids stay active during the winter instead of staying inside watching TV!

This would be so cool! Flying a kite is basically like kite surfing and since I can’t go in the water because its FREEZING I can surf on snow!

UMM How safe is this? mean what happened if your parachute collapsed? Why not just go to a mountain range to go snowboarding/snow skiing.
