How do you think teen and tween girls are affected by eating disorders?
"I think it's one of those things that older teenage girls are always going to be affected by how they look and everything because it's a very insecure time in your life. In high school, how you look and who you are going out with is everything -- so you're very self-conscious about your body.
And, it seems to be, lately, many younger girls are being affected by this and when you're affected by this when you're younger, you have so many years of being self-conscious and all of it begins to add up.
For me, my eating disorder started when I was 13. What 13-year-old should be so obsessed with how they look that they basically starve themselves?"
