Have a Heart

Updated: September 30, 2008

Sixteen-year-old Nick Muller was an organ donor. When he died in a car accident in June 2000, his parents carried out his wishes, and Nick's kidneys saved the lives of two women. To help keep Nick's memory alive, his friends and brother Josh started an organ donor awareness campaign in Anderson, Ind. called "Donate Organs Adolescents & Grownups" or D.O.A.G. The program is now spreading across the state as hundreds of teens sign up and agree to be organ donors.
