Brewer & Chase
Hear it Now
When Blake Brewer and Chase Caillouette met in high school, the history of the band Brewer & Chase began after bonding over a shared interest in music and the beach. Interested in learning how to play guitar, Blake gave Chase lessons until he transferred to another school.
The pair then worked independently for a while, each writing their own songs and playing guitar. When they reunited for the first time to record a song, they found they balance each other well given their guitar playing and songwriting talents. After recording a couple of their songs live, they decided to form Brewer & Chase.
They played local venues like the Lido Theater and sold their cd for five dollars. As they developed a surf side following in their hometown of Newport Beach, their laid back style in keeping with the community mentality, led them to their first studio album by producer Marc Danzeisen who also became their drummer. The band grew to include a full band with Zack Singerman on bass and Eric Nelson on the electric guitar.
After the release of their first studio album, the band played concerts weekly. Their success translated to their prime time TV premiere on MTV's Laguna Beach and Lifetime's Monarch Cove. Currently, the duo continues to write music while attending college. They plan to release their third album in the fall.
