Five Times August
Hear it Now
For many bands, getting signed with a major record label is a career-making opus. For Five Times August, keeping themselves as truly indie has worked out well too. After getting songs featured on several TV shows like MTV's Laguna Beach, ABC's Eli Stone and One Tree Hill and The Reaper on CW, the band is now playing their hits for fans on tour.
Brad Skistimas, the singer-songwriter who created the band in Waxahachie, Texas, has a "do it yourself" attitude that forgoes the glitz and glamour of the music scene and replaces it with industrious productivity few bands can beat. With several album releases over the past few years and their most recent compilation of his most popular songs, "Life As A Song," Skitimas and his wife Kelly, who is also his manager, keep busy.
Now Skistimas has put together a solid touring band after performing solo for the past few years. The band plans to tour nationally with this latest release which hits stores October 13, 2009. To get a preview, you can listen to songs here.
