Max Morgan

Hear it Now

Max Morgan grew up in a variety of places, regularly moving across continents with his family. From Liverpool, England to Turkey and then, finally, to Orange County, California -- he got a unique view of the world from a young age. At 13 he began to suffer intense growing pains in his knees that would change his hobbies dramatically. Unable to play football like his father because of the struggle with his knees, he soon found solace in the guitar.

Thousands of lessons and a couple of instruments later, Max Morgan's curly locks weren't the only thing that made him stand out on the American music scene. He debuted on top TV shows with the song "Secret" on Grey's Anatomy and "Wait For Me" on Private Practice. Yet, this musician likes diversity, so don't plan on hearing the same songs from these shows when you listen to his new album Interrupting the Silence. "When I hear an album, I would like to hear all the different facets of the artist's personality," says Morgan on his website.

And, he's not kidding. The album is a refreshing take on a sort of British pop meets American mainstream rock, with some decent guitar on those ever-popular ballads with a touch of piano -- the perfect ticket for TV and radio exposure. Plus, we can't deny how much we love an authentic British accent and a guy who listens to such a mix of talent like Kings of Leon, Kanye West and Muse.
