"What else is there?" explained Skyler when asked if all his songs are about love, and girls.
A few minutes after hearing him perform "Hold my Hand," "Stephanie" and "Any Stupid Thing " it's a little tough to disagree with him. For Sklyer, who has just the one name because he really has four names, and keeping the one just seemed simpler, being on stage and belting out love songs is what it's all about.
The 19-year-old, who started playing sometime in elementary school after buying his first guitar with proceeds from a lemonade stand (seriously) and later put together a music studio in his bedroom with what he made from bake sales (seriously). After high school and a year at Berklee College of Music, he found a manager and a band and took the show on the road. He's now in the midst of a local tour, around the northeast to promote his sixth EP -- this one recorded with his "Band of Thieves" that's out this month.
