The Great Valley
Hear it Now
The Brothers Matos, otherwise known as Nick and Louis, are the men behind the band "The Great Valley." You could say this duo has music in their blood. Growing up as the sons of a drummer dad and a music teacher-by-day-pianist-by-night Mom -- they had a head start in the music department.
Now, they are well on their way. Their latest album "Ruthless," features what they call a more mature sound than their past work. A sound that has developed into more "alternative rock" or as they say, "rock with catchy choruses."
Recently, The Great Valley debuted a music video for their song "Wrecking Ball," which was inspired by break ups and fittingly, symbolically has the brothers breaking inanimate objects like a fish bowl (they promise no animals were harmed in the making of their music video).
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, the brothers were inspired to form their own band after going to concerts in their hometown. And that is exactly the advice they would give to other aspiring musicians: do what you love and be an active participant in the industry. Look, listen and give it all you've got.
