I had my first shoot for the show yesterday and I have to say it was quite an experience.
The shoot was in Pennsylvania and focused on a woman who had just sold her company for 100 million dollars — what’s crazy is that she started the company when she was 15 years old and still in high school. Needless to say, I was amped and ready to talk to her for my first “out of the studio” shoot with Channel One.
Twenty-minutes into the drive, the producer for this piece, Carolyn Libby, said, and I quote, “This is great. We are making great time, ahead of schedule like I wanted to be. Because…,” when she was interrupted by this crazy, loud BOOM!! WHAMP WHAMP WHAMP WHAMP!!
Yeah, our tire had just blown out. Who knew that on my very first shoot I would be helping to change a tire on the side of the freeway? Fortunately, changing it wasn’t all that difficult and in no time, we were back on the road. The shoot went amazingly well and we were only five minutes late.
It was a pretty crazy day though. Can’t wait to see what the next shoot will bring!
