image: News for Teens If you ask anyone who works here, we'd all probably make the argument that all news is for teens because learning about what's going on in the world is a great thing.

Today, however, there are a bunch of headlines that really apply to teens, and could have an impact on your day to day.

First, you wouldn't think this tidbit, about SAT scores being the lowest on record, is actually good news, but it kind of is. Scores are down, according to The College Board, because so many people are now taking college entrance exams, which implies that more people are going on to college. Which, if you watched the show this morning, you know is a good thing for communities. Anytime a pool of people is bigger, the average score is most likely going to drop, hence the new low.

Next, a North Carolina school board thinks your nose ring is just fine. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit on behalf of a student there after she was suspended for wearing a nose ring, which her school claimed violated their dress code. The school board in her district voted to allow facial piercings and jewelry "as long as their school principal doesn't see it as a disruption."

Finally, the Missouri law that banned teachers and students from communicating on Facebook has been revised, in a vote of no less than 33-0. Teachers and students are now free to be friends and communicate on social media, but school boards are going to work on guidelines for everyone to follow.

Are you friends with your teachers on Facebook? What did you think about the Missouri law? Tell us in the comments!
