I've lost track of how many AIDS jokes I've heard made at my high school, and each time makes me sick to my stomach. If these kids had met my uncle, laughed at his humor, watched his struggle and his perseverance, they would think twice before they repeated that joke. AIDS is not a laughing matter--it's a horrible disease that affects real people and real families every day.
