Every 15 Minutes
The Every 15 Minutes program helps educate teens about the risks of drinking and driving through real-world experience. Students are exposed to the deadly consequences of drunk driving through a crash scenario set up at their school with a crashed car, victims, rescue workers, police and an emergency helicopter as part of the demonstration. The shocker? Student participants are also taken to an actual emergency room and morgue to watch as the mock victims are pronounced dead. The program also includes a Grim Reaper exercise where students are removed from classrooms leading up to the collision demonstration. All participating teens are then taken to a retreat where they can talk about the event and learn how to avoid this scenario in their lives.
