How Does a Primary Affect the Race?

The results of the primaries can be an important predictor of the presidential race. Sometimes the winner of a primary ends up with his or her party's national nominations but each win has to be taken with a grain of salt. Each state's picks will be voiced as part of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The votes are used to pick the two final candidates, one of which will be our next President!
