Bedbugs are about the size of an apple seed and they like to hide in warm, dark places. In addition to being found in mattresses and bedding, they have been discovered in the crevices of wood furniture, upholstered furniture and even underneath bedside alarm clocks.
They have also been discovered in retails stores, hotels and tourist destinations like New York's Empire State Building. Earlier this year, the Associated Press reported that 6% of New Yorkers had dealt with a bedbug problem in 2009.
