Hanging out

Hanging out

Students at Lycee Pierre Brossolette, a high school in Lyon, France, hang out off school grounds during their lunch break. Before the law was initiated, the policy for public schools across France banned all religious symbols, but was not law. For the multiethnic students who attend this school, the ban means no yarmulkes for Jewish boys, large crosses for the Christians, turbans for the Sikhs or hijabs for the Muslim girls.
