Green Tree Python (Morelia viridis)

Green Tree Python (Morelia viridis)

Snake in Snapshot: Green Tree Python

Home Habitat: Rain forests in Papua and Iran Jaya, New Guinea and on the Cape York Peninsula of Australia

Favorite Food: Small rodents and birds

Size: 6-7 feet

Danger Factor: Low. Some people have these snakes as pets, but they have a temper and can bite. These pythons require an advanced set up because these snakes are temperamental and love to hang in trees. In the wild, they look like bunches of bananas because of the way they coil and hang.
