Q: How did your family react when you started taking drugs? What did they try to do?

A: My parents never really knew about the pills until I told them years later. When I started smoking pot, they could tell. I was hanging up marijuana posters, listening to different music, dressing different, and I didn't care about my appearance. They said "We don't want you to smoke," and I said OK, but then I'd go off and do stuff again. We'd always fight but there was nothing they could do but yell. They would ground me, forbid me to see friends-- but they were naive. They would go out, and I'd have friends come over and bring me stuff.
