Retouching photos is nothing new. Not long after the camera was invented, people began manipulating images for various reasons. You can click here for some historical examples of photo retouching from about 1860 until now.

With the creation of digital photography, however, the retouching, or photoshopping has reached new levels. Models in catalogs have impossibly thin figures on which to model clothes, and magazine covers present actresses and actors with flawless, nearly impossibly figures, hair and skin.
