What exactly is a drought? If you said, "no rainfall," that's only half the story. Drought is when an area gets less than its expected amount of rain for several months. But what do droughts have to do with global warming? Well, warmer temperatures have the potential to increase the probability of drought, which in turn heightens the risk of wildfires.
