The competition for the world's tallest buildings has reached new heights with the opening of Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on January 4, 2010. The building measures 2,720 ft. (828 meters), beating the previous "World's Tallest Building" holder, Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which is 1,671 ft.
