For some athletes, religion plays an important role in their games. For others, it doesn't.

For the students at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High in Georgia, Bible verses are no longer allowed on the cheerleading squad's banners.

The school district thought the signs may be unconstitutional, yet now, many students are protesting the banner ban by decorating their cars with phrases like, "Warriors for Christ."

The school board was advised by their lawyer against the cheerleaders signs because they were being shown at a school sponsored event. For fear of violating the First Amendment, the football team ran through a banner at their game reading, "This is Big Red Country" instead of a sign that glorifies faith.
