Check out the following guidelines and frequently asked questions prior to submitting your digital photo to Channel One.
Q: Who can send photos?
A: You must be 13 or older to upload photos online. Note that Channel One will contact all contributors and request they send a Parental Consent Form prior to publication or use on Channel One News.
Q: How do I submit my photo?
A: Digital photos may be uploaded in jpg or gif format. Uploads should not exceed 2 MB in size. Through on-screen instructions you will be asked to provide information during the registration process.
Q: Can I send a photo I found online or from a newspaper or magazine?
A: No. Unless permission is given in writing from its owner, any photo, video, or other content that has been not created by you will not be considered.
Q: Can I email you a link to Photobucket or another digital-photo album site?
A: No. If you have a digital file available, you can easily upload it on ChannelOne.com. Channel One requires a signed consent form from a parent or guardian for each child who submits user-generated content for our broadcast.
Q: Do I have to fill out all the fields on the entry form?
A: Yes. Otherwise, we won’t be able to accept your photo. So be sure to follow all the directions!
