Six Seconds to Sparkling

Did you know there are different methods for brushing your teeth? And that they have names?

Neither did we, until we heard about this idea for the next big thing: The Blizzident. It’s a “tailored toothbrush” that your dentist helps make for you using an impression of your teeth. The custom device, full of toothbrush bristles, is then ordered and suddenly you’ve shaved minutes off your toothbrushing time — it only takes about six seconds to brush! The device will cost you about $300 for an initial mold, but after that you only need to replace it about once a year, and the company says replacements are “only a fraction of the price of a new one.”

But wait, there’s more! They also say the Bizzident eliminates the need for flossing, which is great news, unless you’re into flossing.

So, is the Bizzident the next evolution of tooth brushing? Vote in the poll and tell us where you stand!

It is the next big thing because I don’t do a good job brushing in the morning and at night. I just brush under a minuet. This will increse my brushing by a lot.

Dental care is very expensive. If this does a better job in maintaining healthy teeth/mouth/gums, your dental costs may be greatly reduced. One routine trip to the dentist can quickly turn into a $300.00+ bill. I’m all in on the Blizzident!

It should not be 300$ for just an 800 bristle tooth brusher why not at least 50$ at the most it should only be 10$ for materials and 10$ to make one, also like 15$ each for the person who made it or machine. And will insurance pay for it if not they should make it like that.

I agree with the people who say no because there is no way I would pay $300 for some robotic, automatic teeth-brushing “device” when I could just brush my teeth myself.

This is a great idea! I sometimes get bored when I brush my teeth, so this would help. One thing, though- $300? Lower the price.

Laddie, like all things, when an innovation comes out for the first time it fails. That is until someone finds the idea again and refines it properly.

I find that this product would be bought by some families because of the price- which is 300 bucks? If they lowered it more people would buy it though.

There are greater causes to give $300 to. It is sad when people become too lazy to brush their teeth, and throw away $300 to a unworthy invention.

Honestly I wouldn’t spend $300 to brush my teeth, when I could use the money for other things. Such as helping me go into the Marines.

  6. Barnett

Well I wish I was rich so I could buy it, but I am not so it would make it harder to buy! Cool idea though, because you can brush your teeth well in about 6 seconds.

I have really bad teeth and I have money but not a lot so I think this is a good idea because I take forever in the morning brushing my teeth and they still suck

Aedin I agree with you. My teeth are not the best and I have spent a lot of time and lots of money trying to maintain them. I think that in the long run this could save me money from the dentist.

NOOOO WAY I WOULD PAY 300$ for saving 2 minutes and 54 seconds that wont last over a year. 150$ it cost yearly so yeah, defenitly it wont be the nbt

I don’t think this is the next big thing. Yes this is an amazing invention, but who has the money to pay for this?! I’ll stick to my tooth brush!

I think that this idea is cool but it is not the next big thing because the average joe does not have the cash to spend $300 on a six second brush when you can brush your teeth for free.

I don’t think that “six seconds to sparkling” is a good idea because $300.00 is unreasonable, most people would much rather just go to a local store and buy a toothbrush.

Yes this is very helpful. The cost has nothing to do with it. Its almost the same price as the average person spends on tooth paste and tooth brushes each year – Joey

I think that it is great but takes away the formal tooth brushing experience. Plus NBT cost $300.00 to a dollar tree pack for $1.00.

This would be the next big thing if it wasn’t so much money. I mean I’m not paying $300 for a thing cuts down how much time it takes to brush your teeth! I rather brush my teeth by hand.

We should totally do this!!! Our time is worth way more than our money!! And also, we would actually brush our teeth and our trips to the dentist wouldn’t be as scary. Maybe causes a bit of laziness, but hey…we are kids, right?

I think the Blizzident is the next big thing. Our society has gotten lazy over the years. Maybe this will help a little with hygiene. The price could come down by a lot though.

What’s wrong with brushing your teeth for a few minutes and who has the money to pay 300 dollars.

    Reply
  33. hannah

Maybe if the prices went down people would buy them, but when you think about it you buy a new toothbrush every 4-6 months or less and people probably spend more money on lots of toothbrushes, so really depending how long the six seconds to sparkle lasts it’s a good idea.

yes it was cool when I first saw it but when I learned it is almost 300 dollars and you can get a tooth brush for 3 dollars it is NOT the next big thing

No, why would someone want to pay $300 on something to brush and floss your teeth. You could use the money for a great cause.

Although this product may make things easier for getting ready for the day or going to bed, I’m not sure I would feel comfortable paying $300 for 12-18 seconds of use a day.

Yes, this is definitely the next big thing! Most kids don’t like to floss or spend too much time brushing their teeth. The Blizzident will save time out of someone’s day and will brush and floss better than any person could, keeping the dentists happy! Using the Blizzident each day will keep the dentist away!

What if somebody wanted to do it the old-fashion way? But what does that cylinder looking thing in the front of the jaw mold for? Also where do you put the toothpaste at anyway? To me my toothbrush last for 2-4 years without bacteria. How long does it last?

  41. Halle S.

It’s expensive because they have to mold to your mouth, like a retainer. I think that it is the next big thing, because it will most likely up your oral hygiene.

Why would someone pay $300 for something that replaces your 3$ tooth rush? It might take less time using the Blizzident, but I would stick with the toothbrush if someone spoke money like me.

This is an awesome device for some people, but in my opinion it isn’t for most. Who really needs this when you can just brush manually. I think its just pulling money from peoples pockets. Though it is a great tool for disabled people. Most people probably don’t need this device.
