Channel One Copyright Compliance Policy

Thank you for submitting user generated content ("Content") to Channel One! This notice contains important information regarding your Content, including what you are agreeing to when you submit the Content and how Channel One will use your Content.

AS FURTHER EXPLAINED BELOW, CHANNEL ONE DOES NOT HAVE THE OBLIGATION TO USE ANY CONTENT YOU SUBMIT. ALSO, BY SUBMITTING CONTENT TO CHANNEL ONE YOU ARE GRANTING THE RIGHT TO CHANNEL ONE TO USE YOUR CONTENT HOW IT DEEMS APPROPRIATE.

Channel One reviews and uses your Content at its discretion, meaning that Channel One is not obligated to use your Content in its broadcast or online. As a condition to submitting Content, you agree to Channel One's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. You also understand that we may use your personal information provided as set forth in our Privacy Policy. In addition, we may (although we are not obligated to) use your personal information, such as telephone number or e-mail address, to notify should we decide to use your Content or have questions about your Content. Also, by submitting your Content, you understand and agree that you are granting to Channel One an irrevocable, sublicensable, worldwide, royalty free license to your Content for Channel One to use as it deems appropriate, in all media whether now known or hereafter created, including the right to publish, use, modify, alter or adapt your Content. Channel One may also grant these rights to others as it deems appropriate. You hereby forever release Channel One and any of its licensees from any and all claims you might have in connection with your Content. Channel One may ask you to sign or your parent or legal guardian to sign if you are a minor in your state additional documents or agreements to effectuate your license and release, which documents and agreements you and your parents or legal guardians agree to sign.

You understand that any and all material on which your Content is included becomes Channel One property. Channel One will not return these materials to you, regardless of whether or not Channel One uses your Content.

You represent that your Content is your own original work. You also represent that you have obtained any and all necessary consents, approvals or licenses required in connection with your Content, such as written consent from all third parties which appear in your Content).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Channel One, its parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, each of their respective licensees, successors and assigns, and each of their respective employees, agents, representatives, officers and directors from and against any and all claims, losses, costs, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys' fees) which may arise in connection with Channel One's use of your Content or in connection with any breach of a term or condition of this policy, Channel One's Privacy Policy or Channel One's Terms of Use. You further agree to waive any claim of intellectual property infringement, including without limitation copyright, trademark, patent, trade name, trade secret, against Channel One or its licensees based upon its use of your Content.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT AGREE TO ANY OF THE ABOVE OR DO NOT WANT TO GRANT TO CHANNEL ONE THE RIGHTS OUTLINED ABOVE, DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR CONTENT.
