The NBT: eSports


Shelby: Now, if you spend a lot of time playing videos games, you’ll want to vote on this week’s Next Big Thing.

Twelve electronic sports teams from all over the world have been competing in Los Angeles this week at the League of Legends Season 2 World Championship. It’s the largest eSport competition ever.

These competitors practiced for up to 12 hours a day and compete as hundreds of thousands of people watch online.

And the grand prize being given out tomorrow is worth a cool one million dollars.

E-sports are already huge in other parts of the world.
