Are ads that invite you to play a game the next big thing?

Shelby: These Japanese ads are going interactive, like this perfume ad where you can swat away the flower petals.

Using high-tech tricks like holograms, touchscreens and Kinect-like games, these ads are taking shopping to a whole new level.

Advertisements are popping up as projections onto buildings or lighting up walls as animated murals, and even showing up in bathroom sinks.
