Shelby: Have you ever been told to stop playing ball in the house? Well, soon you might be able to have an all-out competition in the living room if this week’s Next Big Thing takes off.
We are checking out a smart floor called GravitySpace that just might revolutionize your home. This smart floor senses the pressure from your feet so it knows who you are, where you are, and what you are doing. Then, using a combination of LEDs, projectors and computers, the GravitySpace floor can create an avatar that looks like you. This avatar can do everything that you can do and then some, but in a virtual world.
The smart floor’s German creators say their invention can be used in everything from home security to caring for the elderly to interactive gaming.

- What other surfaces could be improved by touch or motion sensitivity, besides floors?
