You Tell It

On the Flip Side

You won't miss a thing with this new and tiny video camera. Flip cameras are the epitome of all that is cool in technology right now. The Flip minoHD is the world's smallest video camera, weighing in around three ounces - that's about as heavy as a Snickers.

Yet the fact that these cameras can fit in your pocket aren't the only reason why they are so sweet. They have an incredibly clear picture 720p-resolution image (which translates to 1280 x 720 pixels in a 16:9 cinematic widescreen). All of that means "really good" in techie-speak.

The camera also doesn't record on a cassette. It stores everything on a tiny flash drive like many digital cameras. Did we mention it takes still photos too? Yeah, it's that cool.

To top it all off, you can custom design your own Flip. You can create your own design or upload it at Flip.com.

If you’ve been following our Impact section over the past few months, you know that we’re committed to supporting any and all of you interested in making a positive impact on your community. Whether you’re donating your hair, writing letters to soldiers abroad or volunteering at a zoo, there has never been a group of teens more excited to help your neighbors and strangers around the world.

We think that’s fantastic. And generous. And inspiring.  And we want to give you the chance to tell the Channel One community all about it, in your own words.

So, if you’ve organized a volunteer day with your friends, given your time to supporting a cause that you love or made a positive impact on a person or place in some big or small way, tell us about it! We’ll feature as many of your stories as we can on our show.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • The most successful news stories have the who, what, where and why? When telling us how you’ve made an impact, be sure to include those elements.
  • Grab a camera and get shooting! But be sure to keep the video under three minutes. Anything longer makes it hard for us to include in the show.
  • Upload your videos here: http://www.channelone.com/contribute-to-channel-one-news/.
  • Have a question? Feel free to shoot us a note through ChannelOne.com or on our Facebook page.

We can’t wait to see what you’ve accomplished!
