On today's show, a very brave Maggie Rulli showed you a new option in dining that one day might become more than just a trend.
If the idea of eating an insect is a little too much for you to seriously consider, think about this fun fact: By 2050, there could be 9 billion people living on the planet. That means traditional sources of some essential nutrients -- including protein, calcium and iron -- may no longer be an option. Aside from the environmental impact, some foodies like Andrew Zimmern say they just taste good. People in more than 100 countries are already eating a thousand different kinds of bugs on a regular basis.
But we want to know what you think. Are these creepy crawly creatures headed towards a dinner plate near you? Or is this a wave of the future that will be passing you by? Vote in the poll and tell us what you think, and be sure to leave a comment. If you want your response used on the show, include your first name, age and state.
