Shelby: Over the past few weeks, we have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and honoring the achievements of Americans with Hispanic roots. Well, today, we are wrapping up the fiesta with a You Tell It report from students in Colombia, a South American country with a whole lot of bragging rights.

Students: We are The Columbus School in Medellin, Columbia and we are here to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing with you a little message for the world.

And today we are going to talk about coffee. Did you know that 54% of Americans over the age of 18 drink coffee every day? That’s a 100 million people drinking coffee daily. And also, at least 50% of that coffee comes from Columbia.

Hi. This is John Leguizamo who is a Columbian-American actor who is most famously known for playing Sid in the Ice Age franchise.

Sofia Vergara is a very special woman to Columbia because of her achievements in both television and theater. She has created a good image of Columbia to the world. She currently lives in Miami, USA.

Juan Pablo Montoya is a Columbian racing driver known internationally for participating in NASCAR and Formula 1.

Shakira is a Columbian singer. She has sold many albums and songs, but the most recognized song is Waka Waka. She has won two MTV Awards and two Grammy Awards, and many others. Yay!
