Want to read some great books and help raise money for cancer research while you do?!

A Million Books for Hope is a summer read-a-thon started by Hope Veazey, an 8-year-old girl from Virginia with leukemia who has a passion for reading.

To participate, register with www.amillionbooksforhope.org and create a fundraising page where your friends and family can make donations. Then, get reading! 100% of the funds raised by the read-a-thon will go to pediatric cancer research via the organization The Truth 365.

If you’re looking for reading recommendations, we’re sharing our favorite books all summer long on our blog. (See Maggie’s picks here and Demetrius’ picks here!)
