Cereal Cafés

One of the best parts of being a kid is eating sugary cereal on a lazy Saturday morning. Now a few restaurants are giving adults a chance to experience that again. Known as cereal cafés, the main food they serve is — not surprisingly– cereal. For a few bucks a bowl you get the cereal of your choice plus ice cold milk.

Thanks to a ton of recent media coverage, the best known of these restaurants is the Cereal Killer Café in London. Started by twins Gary and Alan Keery, the restaurant is filled with old-school cartoon memorabilia for those looking to get in touch with their inner child. There are cereals from all over the world — from the United States to Israel. They also serve Pop Tarts if you’re only in the mood for a snack, and have special milks for the lactose intolerant.

Over in the states, we have the Cereality Cafés. Started in 2004, the restaurant has two locations, one in Texas and the other in Virginia. They serve classic American breakfast cereals like Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms, which you can then top with things like mini-marshmallows or chocolate syrup. If you’re feeling indecisive, there’s even a cereal bar so you can make your own sweet creation.

What do you think? Could cereal cafés be the next big thing? Vote and let us know in the comments!

We’d like to hear from you! Send your ideas for the next big thing to nbt@channelone.com.

It is stupid because why pay 20 bucks for a bowl of cereal when you can buy a whole box for 5 bucks. I mean SERIOUSLY
