Do you ever want to just hit the pause button on everything? Slow things down? It’s no wonder. Life gets hectic with the overload of information constantly at our fingertips, not to mention juggling so many responsibilities at once. A new meditation gym trend, however, is providing a soothing solution.

MNDFL (mindful) is a meditation studio based in New York City, and it’s offering members a quiet place to de-stress and recharge.

The studio provides 30- to 40-minute classes including MNDFL 101, Breath, Emotions, Energy and even Sleep. Each class theme is designed to fit a member’s mood or address a need they have on a given day. Over two dozen certified meditation teachers of various backgrounds lead these classes, and provide one-on-one sessions. Solitary rooms can also be booked for those who want to meditate on their own.

While membership may seem steep at $200 per month, it just may be worth it. Some studies have suggested regular meditation may boost happiness, improve focus and even slow some aspects of aging.

What do you think? Will you be booking a cushion anytime soon?

We’d like to hear from you! Send your ideas for the next big thing to nbt@channelone.com.

I think this is the next big because it would help us keep our anger in.
