You’ve seen them on the sidewalks, in the streets, in YouTube videos and the Instagram photos of your favorite celebrities. Yes, they are the world’s newest mode of transportation–the self-balancing two-wheel smart electric scooter. A mouthful? For the sake of simplicity, we shall call it an electric scooter, the handle-free Segway that makes you feel as if you’re floating on air and allowing your mind to guide your forward.
It has two rubber wheels below the platform “petals” that easily lock your feet into place and moves at seven to eight miles per hour. When you’ve reached the maximum speed you will hear a beeping noise that confirms you should continue at a slower pace. Think of it like quick jogging; the average speed is four to six miles per hour, so the electric scooter places you around that similar speed. Also, it can carry up to 220 lbs and only takes a couple of hours to fully charge. And with a fully-charged battery, you can cruise at up to 15 miles per hour!
The electric scooter’s creator is unknown, but its country of origin points to China. And as for the official name, it varies from the “hoverboard” to the “double electric skateboard,” to the “X-Rider Dual two-wheel self-balancing smart electric mini scooter.

Now, time to tackle the most important aspect of the scooter– the price. Depending on the maker and place of purchase, it can range from $300 to $8,000. And, according to the Department of Transportation, not all motorized self-balancing devices are allowed. For instance, in New York City, these devices are prohibited (even though the ban isn’t full enforced). So, proceed with caution and enjoy!

This is a good toy or whatever it is to the kids and also adults but if it’s exploding i don’t want to be the one on it because it could cause serious damage to me and others as in my loved ones so i won’t risk my life on a cheap knock off.
