A bicycyle revolution is coming, according to the creators of the Copenhagen Wheel. Created by a team of engineers at the famed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Copenhagen Wheel is a high-tech wheel that turns a regular foot pedal bicycle into a smart, electric one.
The technology inside of the wheel helps give riders a boost when going over tough hills or through long distances. Pedaling a bike creates energy, which the wheel stores. Then, when the sensors feel you getting tired, the wheel uses that energy to power the motor, giving the rider up to 10 times more pedal power.
There’s also a Copenhagen Wheel app that pairs with the wheel to learn your pedal pattern, speed and strength. You can also use the app to track calories and distance and to lock the wheel when it’s not in use.
So what do you think? Could the Copenhagen Wheel be the next big thing? Vote and share your thoughts in the comments!

This is NOT the next big thing! How are you getting exercise if the bike is doing it for you.
