The Play Healthy Awards

Time to play ball! This week we’re putting a spotlight on a campaign that will inspire all the baseball players and fans out there.

The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, in conjunction with Major League Baseball Charities, is celebrating outstanding youth sports coaches and student athletes in the 2014 Commissioner’s Play Healthy Awards.

The Awards recognize one coach and one student athlete a year who “embody the spirit of teamwork, dedication, leadership, hard work, fun and a healthy, drug-free lifestyle – regardless of won-loss records.”

The winners of the award will receive:

  • A trip for two to New York City
  • Two tickets to the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids’ Gala at Gotham Hall on Thursday, November 20th, 2014 where the winners will be honored
  • $500 gift card to a New York City sporting goods store
  • A plaque presented by Major League Baseball Charities and Partnership for Drug-Free Kids
  • The opportunity to be featured on the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids’ website
