LEAD360 is the platform that powers youth service ideas: to realize their vision, act as the megaphone for their voices and empower them and the country to act with maximum impact.

In the Jefferson Awards Foundation’s 5th year of LEAD360, we’re amplifying the challenge even further. This year, LEAD360 is a two-phase challenge. For Phase 1, we are seeking the most innovative BIG IDEAS of young people ages 5-25 to change the face of three chosen areas of care: Hunger & Poverty, Education & Literacy and Health & Wellness. This will run through the month of January 2015.

Why these three categories? From last year’s challenge, your service passions were clear and communicated that these are the areas you care most about.

We will gather as many submissions as possible, so please submit your BIG IDEAS as well as any projects you are already activating here! Once submissions close, we will conduct regional and national voting to determine the top 5 finalists in each of the three areas of care (15 total finalists!) and conduct a online voting contest via our web site and social media channels.

The online voting will determine which three visionary ideas will be supported by JAF and powered by the country in Phase 2 to create meaningful impact.  We will galvanize individuals, organizations, companies, sports teams, universities and communities to participate in the three winning projects. Over the course of an entire year, we will track the collective impact of these projects all over the country. Those who do the most will become Jefferson Award winners.

Submit your BIG IDEA today here!

My big idea is that we should have a piece of paper with shatter proof glass on the side of it and we could save trees by if we write on the paper we push save on the touch screen part on the side and then all that you wrote is all saved in storage so you could go back anytime you want and check what you wrote and it will be weightless.and plastic attached to the glass part to keep up the paper so it wont fall down

My big idea is to have more out door classrooms because my elementary school made one and we sometimes went out there during nice weather and I felt good to be learning and getting fresh air.we had park benches and plants all around it it was very cool.

For orphan children in Africa to have a brighter future, education, and life. I think compared to them, we live like royalty. We take for granted how much bigger opportunities we have for an education, a home, and a family. They shouldn’t have to suffer.

My idea is to have a International Reading Day to help bring in enough money to teach people in other countries who don’t know how to read, wright, or even wright their name learn to do just that. On this day people who would support this cause would go to their library and read all that they could, or just sit in a room book and read, also libraries, rec. centers, and other public centers could collect donations to help pay for the pricy education.

my idea is that we should work in class and not talk on the phone until school is over because kids that are in school that have phones they may or not get their school work done and will have home work to do and also lose tier free time at of school.
every students should think about using phones in class.

All community colleges should be free cause 50% of students that graduate from high school never go off to college cause they don’t have the money I think if it be free the number of people will go up. If you but it on the can you give a S/O to Earle Arkansas
