In 2007, then 9-year-old Felix Finkbeiner had a vision to empower children from every country on Earth to plant 1 million trees, offsetting carbon emissions and helping resolve the climate crisis that the world is facing. A year later, Felix became a Junior Board Member of the United Nations Environment Programme, organizing Plant-For-the-Planet events by children for children, so that young people can motivate each other and take action to help the environment.
