According to new rules by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), schools can now be more flexible with the lunch options they serve. In 2010, President Obama signed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which required schools to serve more grains, fruits and veggies. But the new changes aim to make student lunches more nutritious and appealing. Schools can now include more salty foods, low-fat chocolate milk — and can even toss out the whole grains.
And while the new rules are temporary and applicable for the 2018-2019 school year only, some health experts have already voiced disapproval. Therefore, the USDA is taking comments by the public before making a final decision.

I think that you should be able to choose which lunches they want rather than having to deal wirth whatever is cooked
I think they shouldn’t have salty lunch cause lots of people don’t like salty foods and if you eat salty and
not suppose to you can get sick and go to the hospital most likely so yeah.
I would love to have a great school lunch! I don’t want sandwiches that I pack anymore!
I think it is a great idea the food tastes delicious and I want to eat the school lunch instead of my mom having to buy me lunch.
i dont think school should have more salty foods cause if kids get to much of the salty foods it can throw there health off
Its not there its their.
You should be able to have choices on what you want.
I believe that what they did for lunch rooms is affective being a sudent and all.
i believe this is a good rule but we still need to eat healthy a litttle not alot, because we can eat other things that are not healthy instead of always eating healthy food
Finally! I will like school food. Right now the food is WAY to healthy and it makes it very difficult to want to eat it. I am very excited.
I used to have cheese sandwiches with carrots in it
the current food we have now is very horrible they took away salt and can’t have that much sugar plus we can’t have any cinnamon or icing on a cinnamon roll. We have fat free milk and had to switch to sweat potato fries that taste like rubber.
