mess kit (metal/plastic cooking kit w/ silverware)
dunk bag (holds mess kit and is for washing it)
flashlight* w/ extra batteries
medium sized backpack (for hiking and just carrying stuff)
mosquito net* (you’ll be eaten alive without one, but you can usually buy these at the trading post at most Girl Scout Camps)
hair rubber bands, etc.
Clothes (depending on the length of your camp session):
socks (at least 2 pairs for each day)
shirts (short sleeve and long, depending on the weather)
sweater/hoodie (it can get cold at night)
shorts (careful not to be too short, they might yell at you)
2 pairs of shoes (sturdy or hiking shoes, and ones to wear around camp)
flip-flops (for showers)
swimsuit (not too skimpy)
Other things you might need:
pen/ pencils/ stationary/ stamps (for writing letters to home)
cards and stuff to do
** Keep in mind that some counselors might take away cellphones and iPods, and cellphones might not work anyway, so think twice before you pack them.
I PACKED EVERY THING FOR CAMP LAST WEEK LOL TNT BTW I LOVE TEXTING. <3
Can’t forget that extra roll of toilet paper for any nature explorations or hiking expeditions!
