Vote: Are LED Running Tracks the Next Big Thing?

By Tonka Dobreva 01.15.2018 interact

Check out the world’s first LED running track! Designed by Nike and modeled off the footprint of the brand’s running shoes, this high-tech stadium is lined with LED screens. It allows you to enter a virtual race against a digital avatar, and it even helps you challenge yourself by virtually competing against some of the best athletes in the world.

So what do you think — are LED running tracks the Next Big Thing? Vote and tell us your opinion in the comments section below. Or submit your video comments to nbt@channelone.com. We will feature the results of the poll and some of your comments on the show!

Yes, because people like to run but they don’t always have someone to race against. Also I think it looks really fun so people will be more motivated to run and get heart healthy.

No, because a lot of money must have gone into this project, just to simulate a real race.

It is not practical because it is in the Philippines and it would take a long time to make in the United States
